My boyfriend plays World of Warcraft. He would play all day and all night if he could. I know that video games are something he enjoys doing, but it's really an addictive game. I've known relationships have broken because of it. I agree with the comment to a previous similar story that playing a video game at home is better than compromising time with me and time out drinking and partying with friend. However, sometimes I feel that spending time with me is a chore, or lost time away from playing. After we spend some time together, doing errands, dinner, or finished watching a movie, game time inevitably follows. It's as if he needs to make up lost time in the game for being with me.
When he is out of town, or is physically kept away from his home computer, it's actually easier to have conversations with him because he's not distracted by the game.
There is always compromise is any relationship. He is a great person in every other aspect. He makes me happy. Should I have to make compromises with a video game? Or am I just too demanding?
